You CAN do this...
- keep your costume great looking by constant cleaning and repair
-learn to be a pantomime actor in the
costume by practicing in front of a mirror.
-keep a written log to show who used the
costume, when they used it and who they used it for.
-always think about your personal safety as
well as the safety of the people around you while performing in the mascot costume
-set up a special team to help maintain and
assist you in performing with your mascot.
But you CAN'T do this!...
-store your costume dirty or wet.
-do flips or stunts that may hurt you because
of the limited movement and visibility in the costume.
-allow people to pull on your tail or head
or be near you with open flames.
-lend the costume to anyone without giving
them proper instruction on using the costume and making them aware that they are responsible for the
care of the costume.
-lose interest in doing the best job you can
with your mascot. It is the greatest promotional tool you could have!
